Waldegrave Gas Project

Information of the project

Located 450 km west of Brisbane in the Surat Basin Queensland, the Waldegrave project is a gas and oil field which PZE has a 100% equity interest in. The project is situated on the Roma shelf which is widely regarded as one the most prolific gas producing areas in Australia.

Waldegrave’s PL permit area is 698 km2 and is within 50 km of the Wallumbilla hub pipeline connection.

Waldegrave multi-play geology structure

The key reservoir units within the Waldegrave assets are Precipice Sandstone (Early Jurassic) and Moolayember Formation (Mid Triassic). Both reservoir units have produced oil and gas within the asset.

The other reservoir units are Late Permian Tinowon and Rewan sandstones that have been produced in Myall Creek, and the Walloon Coal Measures that are being produced by several operators in the Surat Basin as potential resources within the Waldegrave asset.
